Elizabeth Hallquist Hi, my name is Elizabeth Hallquist. I just turned 19 and I've lived in Connecticut since the age of three. I really want to help inform the public about what's going on with the TeenScreen programs. It is important that families know what they're up against. Then, no parent will have the nasty surprise that their child suddenly has a "mental disorder" (according to some questions on a stupid survey) and needs to take dangerous mind-altering drugs to "treat" it. What disgusts me the most is that TeenScreen pretends to "help" young people, when, in fact, it harms teens by labeling them "mentally ill". How dare someone slap this kind of label on a kid without any scientific proof that such a "disease" actually exists? How can referring kids to a psychiatrist and drugging them with drugs that cause people to kill themselves or hurt others be called help? In the name of help, these drugs are destroying happiness and lives. But it means big bucks for the psychiatrists and drug companies, so who cares, right? I do. I hope you will help me do something about it.
